R2/Dying

Probably the worst thing that can happen to anyone is dying. The whole game revolves around someone dying in combat whether it be an NPC, or a player. Basically 3 things will happen to you, when you die.

Loss of Experience

Whenever you die, whether you were killed by another player or an NPC, a percentage of your hard earned experience will be lost. This of course is an unpleasant experience (pun intended) and it's one of the main reasons that players hate dying. You will remain with about 99.2% to 99.5% of the experience that you have assigned to your stats, and about 75% of the experience that has not been assigned.=

2004-06-06 (per Plat.. that's me! rephrase this how you wish):

  • You lose Your_Level/18,000 of pre-allocated experience per substat. So if you're level 50, you lose 50/18,000 = 0.00278 = 0.278% of your experience for each substat (or 0.278% of your total level).
  • If you have 2 or less experience on a stat (also known as "level 1"), you won't lose any more of it! Woo haa!
  • Your unallocated experience (physical and mental) is reduced by 25% each.

Loss of Items

All the items, and cash that you were carrying will drop to the floor when you die. Other players cannot pick up these items that you drop for exactly 90 seconds because they are stuck to the ground with 'spiritual glue'. In those 90 seconds after you die, it is recommended that you get moving fast to the room where you died so you can collect your items before anyone else can.
