PRESS RELEASE???
---------------------------
Release Date: January 28th, 1999 (3:17 PM 1/28/99)
Not for immediate release:
Someone has announced, 15 minutes before he has to go to bed, that
Rocktool 3 is official. This new software, developed on the same
platform for the same platform, promises faster execution, better color
printing, more accurate color definition among other features. Others
include less crashes and greater stability, faster loading and a purdy
interface.
This new project is more collaborative, between Mich (mich@kewlie.net)
and the original coder of the Rocktool series Mystiq
(mystiq@nassau.cv.net). The effort has been to split the work of the
color engine and the main code and its working quite well. Another
valued effort in the project is, that unlike the other programs in the
Rocktool series, Rocktool 3 has started from scratch. All the 2 other
programs (yes there was an original that started the chaos) started out
as a sample application, Rocktool 3 is totally rewritten, totally
original, and a total revamp and restructure over previous versions.
This is allow more flexibility and design choices and is paying off
quite well. More beta testers, a greater testing period and slower
development are ensuring more optimized code and less code that is
likely to crash. Careful time is taken to make sure the way used to
create a feature/function cannot be done better. A last popular feature
unlike Rocktool 2, and like Rocktool 1, Rocktool 3 promises to not suck
up 7% of your system resources! All this and even a <jojo>ing press
release. What the hell do you expect?
The following features may be improved/added as of this writing:
